Nokia 7 is like the Nokia 8 of a poor man. It is so similar to Nokia's flagship phone with almost all the features that are on Nokia 8 also available on Nokia 7. The company introduced the Nokia 7 in China, hoping to compete in the main market with the drops of Xiaomi, Huawei and Oppo. The Nokia 7 has an initial price of CNY 2499 in China and will be on sale from October 24th.

It is unclear when Nokia 7 will arrive in India. Since it was launched for the first time in China, like the Nokia 6 last year, there are chances that this phone will come late in India. But when it arrives, if it arrives, expect the price to be around 25,000 Rs as the Nokia 8 has a price of 36,999 Rs in India.

The Nokia 7 is the first HMD Global phone with a glass top. Although it looks shiny like the glossy aluminum used by Nokia for the production of other mobiles, such as the Nokia 6 ART edition. It also looks pretty good. Nokia says that the rear glass cover has a 3D curve and has been printed in the 7000 aluminum frame by a vacuum molding process.

The Nokia 7 is equipped with standard standard hardware. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and two versions of RAM, 4GB of RAM and 6GB. Both have 64GB of internal memory. The screen measures 5.2 inches and has a resolution of 1080P. The screen has a Gorilla Glass 3 layer and the phone has an IP54 shelf life, which means it will be splash proof, but will not be able to dip it into a bucket of water. The phone uses Android Nougat also known as Android 7.1, but in the coming months will be upgraded to Android Oreo. Like other Nokia phones, Nokia 7 also uses a standard and clean Android version. The phone has a 3000 mAh battery inside.

The Nokia 7 supports the Bothie function, which is the ability to use both front and rear camera at the same time. First, we saw this feature on Nokia 8. HMD Global says this feature uses Zeiss technology, which is the company's technology partner for cameras on their phones. However, unlike the Nokia 8 that has two rear chambers, the Nokia 7 is equipped with a main camera. This camera uses a 16-megapixel image sensor that has a pixel size of 1.12um. Combined with a F1.8 lens. According to the specifications, Nokia 7 seems to have the same image sensor within OnePlus 3T. On the front, the Nokia 7 has a 5 megapixel camera with a F2.0 lens.

Overall, the Nokia 7 seems a good phone. It certainly has a decent hardware under the hood: a fast processor, lots of RAM and storage, and support features like audio recording with the microSD OZO card. It also has an attractive premium design with pretty thin sides, metal frame and glossy glass. Much depends on the price of the phone in India.

Nokia currently has a hole in its line of products in India. The company has Nokia 6 in Rs 14,999 and has the Nokia 8 in R 36,999. Among them, there may be another phone at the price of Rs 22,000 to Rs 25,000. The Nokia 7 might be this phone.
