Amazon India has announced that it will stop offering the introductory price for its Prime subscription service from October 31st. The company launched its annual subscription service in July 2016 at an introductory price of Rs 499.

For the uninitiated, Amazon Prime is a paid subscription service that offers to its customers, enabling them to access a number of paid benefits. These benefits include free of charge, including faster shipment and access to Amazon's administration and video streaming services.

Users who expect to get a Prime subscription will have to hurry since the new prices will increase to Rs 999 for a year from that date. Amazon had cited the normal subscription rate for launching the service but decided to leave the initial price for more than a year along with a free 60-day initial process.

The first subscription also includes daylight saving discounts in some cities, as well as early 30 minute access to Amazon Lightning deals.

The benefits do not end there. Amazon Prime subscribers also have access to Prime Video, the Amazon video streaming service. The service allows subscribers to broadcast both Indian and international TV shows and movies, including the original Amazon series. The Amazon Prime Video application is available for download on the most popular platforms, including Android, iOS, Chrome OS, and OS TV.
